How to get your 2017 financial plans in order.

By on December 16, 2016

Friends have you ever been challenged my anyone, especially a parent, guardian or sponsor. This is my story today,photogrid_1482000101162
I have always wondered why my mum asks me of my school fees earlier even before Christmas and when i was in high school she could even do for us shopping like a month before we open school. So today i decided to ask why she does that, is it because she is afraid she might use the whole money? She smiled and this was her answer.
“My child, i take accountability of  my money each year and i also budget for my next financial year accordingly. I have a book (she showed me the book) that i write everything that i plan to achieve each year, budget for them and allocate my expected income to each activity so that when time comes i don’t deviate from my budget”
I got challenged by this and eve requested for a 2017 notebook from her (i will share the guidelines when i get it). How do you get your 2017 financial plans in order?
Notebook – You can never go wrong with a notebook. Purpose to write your 2017 plans in a notebook, even write your budget in it. (remember the ticking technique i told you)
Goals and objectives – Identify clearly your 2017 goals and objective (realisable). What you need to do and accomplish in 2017 and put them down.
Objective – Know your 2017 objectives, why you need to achieve your 2017 goals and to what advantage they will be to you after the year.
Account – Open a bank account or even a tin where you keep your money  (after budgeting). That will help you to strictly follow your budget and save. M
Make a budget – budget! Budget! Budget. Budgeting has never gone wrong at any cost (new post will be coming up on budgeting)
Read books – identify books that will help you in budgeting, planning and using your money well.I like reading Natalie Bacon’s blog post on how to plan for your best year ever. I can recommend it for you too. L
Lastly as you plan for 2017, remember to plan to pay yourself and serve others with your money. Have a nice weekend.
Xo.
