GUIDING YOUR OWN FINANCIAL DESTINY

By on February 28, 2017

Avoiding the lemming mentality is the first step in guiding your financial destiny. Many people assume that wealth is as a result of luck, connections and inheritance. Many of us look at ourselves to be so loowly that there is not even an inch of us being wealthy in future. Many of the things that we know about money are based on false assumptions that comes from what you hear from other people, what you think is right, your past or present experiences, peer pressure and stigmatization.Guiding your own financial destiny comes from your own thoughts.THINK POSITIVELY.
One question i always ask myself was that :why is it that money seems to flow to some people like a magnet and seems to be repelled from others? After gathering some information here and there i came to realize that there are 3 things involved:

  1. Vision
  2. Positive thinking
  3. Putting your resources in order.I will take you through the resources :

Financial Resources
Cash and near cash – Analyse how much cash are you in a position to raise or use without borrowing.
Cash flow – How much money are you willing to sacrifice and use for your financial goals?
Credit – How much can you borrow on a short-term basis and how much can you borrow on a long-term basis?
Financial Statement – How frequent do you make your financial statements, what do they say about your financial habits and what strategies are you putting in place to cub losses?
Non-Financial Resources
Time- How much time in a day do you allocate to analyse your financial goals?
People -Which kind of friends add an an impact to your finances?and how often do you tell your financial secrets to your friends?
Courage -Are you ready to swim upstream to get what you want?If no,quit day-dreaming and find an easier hobby.
Knowledge – How well do you know your finances ?do you have a financial advisor?if not,do you purpose to have one in future?
One thing we should know and is a fact is that the rich think differently than the poor. This is because both of them have different expectations with respect to money. The problem is that the rich are contented and the poor want to remain poor.We live in a sue-crazy society where there is so much bribery, corruption, stigmatization, and desperation especially when finding jobs, money itself, even schools, hospitals, politics and any other thing that involves money. What happens to individuals who avoid risks and cling to securities? They are successful a emmassing material wealth. The do not work for it and so no one will ever understand where they get there money leave alone their close friends, family and neighbours.
Wouldn’t you like your financial garden to be beautiful and bountiful? Treat your money with respect. Remember that money is a living entity. Many of you could be wondering that you respect your money but it still falls out of hand all the time.Using your money aimlessly doesn’t mean you respect your money. Denying yourself the opportunity to pay yourself doesn’t mean you respect your money. Being selfish, spendthrift and over-economiser doesn’t mean you respect your money. Try the opposite of the list above.
Start by respecting yourself, then to your neighbors and those you love. Respecting your money comes hand in hand with having control over your money and the result is having control over your life.
FINALLY!
Be visionary, be positive, have respect over your money and finally take action.
